[YT] IM not saying they are discriminatory. It is a fact that it is much harder for intl student to get into a US uni just look at the admission rate of intl student in MIT, harvard, stanford, yale and princeton.
[YT] Well, in theory, if you do “research”… you can graduate anytime you want. However, in reality, a research that is worth enough for the professor giving you a degree usually takes years. So your TA “theory” is correct, but most of people have to stay avg. 2 years for the master on research…. like nuclear science or bio-chem
[YT] I wouldnt consider psych as “useless” major though. Like my friend who graduated from USC psych and went on studying crime psych speciality on rape and murder. I respect her career greatly espeically she has to go to LA prison to interview those people. You were right about “have to ” go on to the master though. UCLA is famous of overall actually. Their law, med, business, arts, films and any “researches” are all top ranking.
[YT] a psych major told me that psych is pretty useless and is one of the easier majors to pass undergrad with (that is easy life not a lot of work) but u cannot find a job with that major. u have to go on to masters. and UCLA is more known for its arts courses, other majors should be easier to get in, especially if u applied for undeclared.
[YT] depends, some ppl just go to Grad sch rather than professional sch (med sch, biz sch, pharmacy etc). Those grad sch u can graduate as soon as u completed ur research according to my TA. pretty much u determine when u wanna graduate (that is if u drag on with ur research u can stay in grad sch for like 6 years, if u rush with ur research, u can graduate asap)
But Professional schools are relatively harder since u have to finish a curriculum instead of a self paced research.
[YT] Grad school is easier to enter but graduating is way much harder than undergrad. Like CPA, MBA, Med School, Pharm School, and engineering…. Especially top 25 US grad school

Well, it depends on your major, luck, and brain.
